Modern Colors for a Contemporary Bathroom

Fixtures and other bathroom amenities are constantly evolving, and new ideas and innovations are being introduced each year to make our lives better, more efficient, more eco-friendly, and cheaper in some way. As we remodel the bathroom to make room for the most ideal choices for our homes, it is good to know what modern colors for a contemporary bathroom are available, so that you can add shades to complement your modern fixtures and amenities. Consider the following traditional and non-traditional design schemes as examples of this:

Neutrals will never be considered unfashionable, regardless of how modern and contemporary the design style becomes in that bathroom. You cannot go wrong contemporary bath color scheme with a neutral color palette when you design a contemporary bathroom, but watch the colors that you choose for this space. Lean more toward the cooler neutral shades, such as cool grays and blues, and steer clear of the warmer neutrals for a modern look. The warm shades are inviting and comfortable, but are best left for a bedroom or dining space instead of a bathroom. Use the warmer tones only as accents and accessories with a modern color palette in a contemporary bathroom, whether it is a guest bathroom space or a master bathroom.

Color contrasts are trendy and popular options for every room of the home, including black and white palettes. Although stark contrasts such as black and white are hip and fashionable, any opposing shades on the color spectrum work for this option. Contemporary designs include combinations of purple and white, black and white, blue and red, brown and pink, and so on, and you can find many combinations by using a modern color wheel. They work with a wide variety of accent colors, including many metallic shades necessary for the fixtures in the modern bathroom.

Pattern and print combinations are traditional, but can still be a modern choice with the right design style. Although solid-pattern and solid-print combinations are very popular, and the easiest choice if you are designing an entire room, there are many pattern-print combinations that coordinate very well in a modern room. The key is to find unifying accessories that pull the look together and introduce the cohesive flow into the room. Contemporary style options rarely match perfectly, especially with a more eclectic feel in the modern guest or master bathroom.

Themed designs are classic, timeless choices that are still very popular in modern, contemporary bathrooms. It is not uncommon to find bathrooms designed around a specific theme, such as solar themes, nautical themes, and child-friendly decor. You can combine these options with many modern decor choices, such as eco-friendly bathroom fixtures, and you really have the chance to display your sense of creativity and individuality in a spectacular way. Themes can be difficult to work with if the theme is something abstract, such as a specific shape or animal print, but it is still a lot of fun and you can find a lot of unique pieces if you know where to look.
